PLC Troubleshooting
Control faults can involve sensors, inputs and outputs, machine sequences, interlocks, communications, safety conditions or connected equipment. IDS works from the observed machine behavior, alarms and available drawings toward the source of the problem.
Controls Support Areas
- PLC fault investigation and machine-state diagnosis
- Sensors, switches, photo eyes and I/O
- Machine sequence and interlock problems
- Control-panel troubleshooting
- Industrial network and communication symptoms
- Packaging-machine controls
- Servo and VFD-related control issues
- Unexpected or intermittent automation behavior
PLC, Electrical & Drive Interaction
A controls problem may actually originate in a failed sensor, wiring condition, drive alarm or mechanical issue. IDS can combine industrial electrical troubleshooting with servo and VFD diagnostics to isolate the complete machine problem.
PLC Troubleshooting for Packaging Machinery
Automated packaging machinery relies heavily on sequencing, sensors, motion control and interlocks. IDS supports control issues on VFFS machines, flow wrappers, stick pack equipment, filling systems and conveyors.
What to Send with a Service Request
Include the machine manufacturer/model, PLC platform when known, alarm or fault code, what the machine is doing, what changed before the problem started and photos or video when useful. If production is stopped, use our emergency industrial service.
Serving Central Florida
IDS is based in Orlando and supports industrial customers throughout Central Florida, including Kissimmee, Davenport, Lakeland and surrounding manufacturing areas.
